One of my favorite movies ever, Howl's Moving Castle is amazing. From :iconlittlemojo:'s awesome website [link] , I've been working on this on and off since around March. (ok, mostly off XD Thanks a bunch for the pattern! :iconmegacookie: & :tea:) I was really tired of working on it and stopped for a while but picked it up again and was rather sad when I got to the end a couple of weeks ago. I added the first stanza from Robert Herrick's To Anthea. It has taken a while to get it presentable to frame and post.
This was stitched on 14 count Aida and lots of DMC floss. I decoupaged the frame with some manga and anime images. Here's a close up of the frame. [link]

BID me to live, and I will live
Thy Protestant to be;
Or bid me love, and I will give
A loving heart to thee.

A heart as soft, a heart as kind,
A heart as sound and free
As in the whole world thou canst find,
That heart I'll give to thee.

Bid that heart stay, and it will stay
To honour thy decree:
Or bid it languish quite away,
And 't shall do so for thee.

Bid me to weep, and I will weep
While I have eyes to see:
And, having none, yet will I keep
A heart to weep for thee.

Bid me despair, and I'll despair
Under that cypress-tree:
Or bid me die, and I will dare
E'en death to die for thee.

Thou art my life, my love my heart,
The very eyes of me:
And hast command of every part
To live and die for thee.

I like the movie too :aww:
And the idea for the frame is awesome :D
I was thinking about framing my Sasuke cross stitch, and I wanted the frame to be decorated in some sort of manga or japanese style. I didn`t know about decoupage :) But first I need to get my printer fixed :/

This is lovely! I was thinking of doing a design of something from that film myself - maybe one of the garden or of Howl as a monster with Sophie You've given me some more inspiration for that!

this is soo cool. I saw the pattern too of it. If I wasn't working on alot of kits I would be making my own of either howl's moving castle or Spirited away.
